Unable to convert normal meeting into a live meeting conference outlook 2007

Friday, May 6, 2011

Live meeting conference suddenly converted back into normal meeting. And when you try to convert the normal meeting back to live meeting in outlook 2007 you encounter this error: "An error occurred while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator"

Consider the following scenario:
You have a computer that is running Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP3 together with an earlier version of Microsoft Office Live Meeting Conferencing Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook.
You open the Outlook 2003 calendar, and then schedule a meeting.
You open the scheduled meeting.
You use the Live Meeting toolbar to convert the meeting to a Live Meeting.
In this scenario, the meeting is not converted to a Live Meeting. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
An error occurred while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator.

This problem occurs because there are some registry keys for the earlier version of the Office Live Meeting Conferencing Add-in for Office Outlook that are not updated. The registry keys are not updated when you convert a regular meeting to a Live Meeting in outlook 2003.

To resolve this problem, install the following update:
